Terms
Last updated October 24, 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and Disco when you use it. By creating an account you accept them, and the privacy policy.
What Disco is, and isn't
- Disco is a study tool: an AI tutor and practice questions for the Architect Registration Examination (ARE).
- Disco is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCARB. ARE is a trademark of NCARB.
- The tutor is an AI and can be wrong. Check what matters against the source documents (the AIA contract documents, the codes, NCARB's guidelines). Every session is reviewed for accuracy afterwards, and you will be told about errors it finds, but nothing catches every one.
- Disco does not guarantee that you will pass any exam, and it is not professional, legal, or licensing advice.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- One person per account. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Give a real email address, so you can reset your password and be reached about your account.
Paying
- Some use may be free; past that, Disco is a subscription, billed in advance each period through Stripe until you cancel. The price is shown before you subscribe.
- Cancel any time under Account. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for; there are no refunds for partial periods, except where the law requires them.
- If the price changes, you will be told at least 30 days ahead, and the new price applies from your next period. You can cancel before then.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries it; if it keeps failing, the subscription ends.
Fair use
Please don't:
- share or post the content of actual ARE exams you have taken. Your agreement with NCARB forbids it, and Disco doesn't want it;
- copy, scrape, or resell Disco's questions, maps, or drawings, or use them to build a competing product;
- try to break, overload, or get around the limits of the service, or use it to generate content unrelated to studying;
- use it for anything unlawful.
Daily limits on tutor replies keep the service affordable for everyone.
Whose is what
Your notes and your answers are yours; Disco keeps them only to tutor you, as the privacy policy describes. Disco's questions, maps, drawings, design, and software belong to Disco; you may use them for your own study.
Ending
You can delete your account any time under Account. Disco may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and may change or stop the service; if it stops, paid subscribers will be told ahead and refunded for time not yet used.
The legal part
Disco is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Disco is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including exam results, and its total liability to you is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes and contact
If these terms change in a way that matters, you will be told in the app before the change takes effect. Questions: discotutor2026@gmail.com.
